Hypocrisy Instead of contraception, why don't women just abstain from sex?

If you're afraid of getting pregnant just stop having sex. Sex isn't a big deal, right? Why waste money buying condoms or the pill when the most fail-proof way of not getting pregnant is just to not have sex? It's almost like the alleviation of sexual desire is an unavoidable biological necessity or something????
