As a woman, I can concur with all the advice he's giving men in this video. I dated a male model, body builders, etc. but I found my happily ever after with an ordinary Canadian who works in plastic manufacturing. We're poor as church mice and deliriously happy together. We have radically different senses of humor and personalities, and I lean further left than he does. He's incredibly civilized, well adjusted, practical, and pragmatic. It took us time to adapt to how different our assumptions and behavior are from each other, but I think that's why we still have things to discuss after a decade living together. Decent guys can absolutely land the popular cheerleader from highschool. We're living proof.

Yes and no, this shows that "decent guys" are never going to be the first option that a "popular cheerleader" will want to date. You went after male models, body builders and such before, and that's because those were the kinds of guys who sparked actual desire in you... What many decent dudes know is that attractive women will only have eyes for them after their best years are behind and they looking for someone loyal to settle with.

The whole looksmaxxing nonsense falls apart the minute you really think about it! If there are a lot of not-maxxed guys out there, genetics would indicate that their fathers weren't THAT hot looking either. Yet they at minimum had ONE kid, and probably were MARRIED beforehand. That alone tells you that looks isn't the only reason a woman would marry/hook up with a guy. So maybe, instead of focusing ONLY on looks, put effort into other aspects of yourself. Be kind, be funny, be yourself.

I don't buy the idea that if I just make friends a partnership will come naturally. I'm autistic, which means failure is my default state. Instead, I'm overcoming my pessimism to really try getting matches and dates on apps like Hinge. If I don't actively push as hard as I can, I'm guaranteed to die alone, just as I'm supposed to.

POV from a woman: guys who genuinely have renounced the misogyny of the right, treat and accept women as equals and partners, and are willing to admit their mistakes with humility and own it with accountability, are far more likely to find a woman interested in more than their looks. Make her laugh, make her feel special (doesn't mean buying, it means remembering things that are important to her, her favorites, her dislikes, her friends, her family, her pets).
