My friends in prison currently and he says it's kinda meh, it's not how it really looks I guess. They let you use tablets and watch movies and read books. Rape is just not really something that happens often, he said it just adds a ton of extra charges on.

Prison doesn't actually seem that bad especially if you're gonna be homeless.

Depends on the country. Swedish and Japanese prisons are basically recreation camps where you get lavish meals for free every day, and even get to play instruments or learn new skills alongside plenty of books and a free gym you have access whenever you want.

US prisions are much worse, but still fine.

But the worst ones are third world country prisions, you won't make it out alive with all those gangs trying to kill you. And you might die of malnutrition before even completing your sentence if you don't begin to excavate the ground for worms.

Yup. I have no friends or family I talk to anyway and very rarely go out. The only bad thing would be no internet access.
