Title. I like multiplayer games but i don't like interacting with other players and reading or hearing the retarded shit they have to say. I'd rather just disable the chat and pretend I'm playing with bots

I used to be pretty talkative in multiplayer games but people have gotten more and more cold and boring over the years and the zoomerfags are insufferable, tbh.
Also, the older I get the more annoying literal teens and kids become.
There are rare sightings of actually respectful and nice kids and I always make sure to be a good teammate to those and also to not ruin their still pure souls by cursing and talking about bitches and hos and all that.
I then always ask how I would want people to treat my kid, tbh.
Guess it's that father in me who isn't allowed to have kids of his own.

Literally me. I have played cs for some time now but never once opened my mic because i am very high inhib and it felt such a daunting task to press the mic button, let alone the act of following up with saying something. But recently i have managed to open the mic and say a few words here and there. I can only call out the enemy's location, speaking anything else is too much for me to bear. I can't say more than a few words at a time. But i have no problem using the ingame chat. I am always fighting with people on the chat lol.

Socializing in multiplayer was much better in the 2000s back when you had forums instead of discord and chatting ingame was the main way of socializing/communication which made mmos back then more immersive. Modern multipalyer you might as well be playing with bots.
The opposite also sucks. I stopped using voice chat due to constant accusations of faking my voice.
