When I was younger and cared to watch hollywood bullshit, movies like Superbad, Dazed and Confused and Breakfast Club, I wanted to rope so hard. Seeing average-ish kids living a life that is pretty much a parallel universe from mine was devastating. As I got older, I stopped bothering consuming alot of mainstream media. I think 21 Jumpstreet was the movie that really made me quit, seeing ugly fat jew Jonah Hill go to parties with jocks and stacies, JFL.

And at one point, one of the teen protagonists loses his virginity to another teen, and it's framed as this life changing, endearing moment. A rite of passage. It was clearly meant to remind the audience of that first time you experience teenage love, and it was absolutely suicideful because I never got to experience that. He plays with her underwear and explores it. I had to skip the shit out of the scene because I literally couldn't stand it.
