An autistic celibate who is disregarded by soyciety and told to "just breathe deeply" in therapy accidentally falls into a pile of manure one day, giving him blackface. All of sudden everybody starts to act obsequiously and deferentially to him, and he can externalize blame for all his problems.
The movie ends when the autistic protagonist, whose sense of self-importance has been bolstered so, gets into a traffic stop and thinks he can contravene the orders of the police officer. He gets shot and killed.
