If you had perfect knowledge you would no longer be helpless to face the horror that is this reality. This world is shit and seeing it as is is enough to hurt one's very soul, but there is a level of power where this no longer holds true as you become capable of solving or side -stepping the fundamental flaws of this shitty universe we are powerless victims of. It's not hopeless, at least it doesn't have to be this way forever, is the point of my answer to your post.
