I was trying to do it through debian but the thing is im much more experienced with fedora and its really just unheard of to modify something you are new to so even tho i wanted to do it through debian im going to make it fedora based just because its more realistic for me right now

Good luck brocel

I use arch, I recently moved to hyperland and I must say it's been great. If you mean modifications in the sense of custom configs I'd say go use arch no?

Good luck.
What is your end plan with it?
Is it to escape glowie surveillance?

Well im not the most experienced im trying to make some lil mods now so i can pretty much learn how it all works better and one day im going to try and make an actual distrodistro instead of a few lil configs but this is mostly just a learning project

I think fedora is a much better choice

I mean technically speaking the only difference between different distros is the package manager. So if you could come up with that you'd have a entirely different "distro". Most distros are based on other distros i.e ubuntu is debian based.

I feel like arch is the best at doing this, I learnt a lot about the most trivial things like how screenshots are taken, how suspending works on a laptop and a ton more weird things that pcs do. I'd defo send you my github with my dotfiles and shit but it's got my real name and I don't wanna dox myself, I'm also lazy to create a new one and clone the repo

Also your init system but I didn't really count that because most distros use systemd

Its pretty good for beginners, im using the kde version of it rn
nice, haven't used kde or fedora in quite a few years been on gentoo for a long time.

compared to fedora it would be advanced. I say if you've ever done arch its not a massive step up from it

Yeah kind of, it's not much more advanced than arch its like arch with a bunch more extra settings to change and configure for your system. it offers more fine control over the packages and it's capabilities
