Just a minor observation. I work as a code monkey in your average outstaff/outsource company, and right now I'm about the only employee there who does somewhat useful work at all. I've had in the same room with me:
head of HR
head of business development/growth
fucking TWO ceo
head of outstaff division
manager
How their work day usually goes by: do nothing, answer one or two calls, do nothing again, go home. Thats literally it.
How my work day usually goes by: ripping my ass apart doing tasks for 6-7 hours straight, lunch break (not every day), go home, want to kill myself
If AI's gonna hit hard I hope it gets rid of all of these bullshit jobs that only pay money and allow you do nothing.
I literally type this as another foid manager beside me is going about her "job" watching youtube and scrolling social media. And then occasionally another slack message pops up.
