Everybody else would surely have to jump a million hoops with well-timed key phrases and innuendo, and even then, chances are slim. It’s a buyer’s market.

You’re literally competing with a vast cross section of the local unemployed population, trying to get past a keyword filter, having to put in the work to tweak your credentials and build an initial rapport with a cover letter...just to get a 1% chance of acceptance and to most likely get ghosted.
