There's basically 3 types of homeless people. Drug addicts, the mentally ill, and the unlucky ones (disabled veterans, financial failures, kids/teens kicked out from an abusive home, orphans), or sometimes a combination.

I don't know if I would agree with the sentiment that most homeless people are polite and humble, mental illness and drug addiction tend to make you very unstable. Whether they "deserve" to be homeless is another matter, not every drug addict chose to become an addict, some of them got exposed to it as children, there are people born addicted to drugs because their mothers took them while they were pregnant, and likewise someone born with severe mental illness had no control over it either.

In most areas 95% of the homeless people are men, because they don't live on tutorial mode and don't have a built in social security net. On top of that almost all homeless initiatives are targeted at women, same with most support programs.

There are a lot of parallels between the way homeless men and incels are treated by normies. The main recurring theme being that they get blamed for their own problems, and get treated like a plague wherever they go, by people of higher social status than them.
