Japanese pufferfish is similar to what you are thinking about.
If it is not prepared the right way, the poison in the fish can kill you.

But Japanese pufferfish is known to have a risk of death when you eat it.

Pufferfish seems more sure to kill you. Fesikh seems to be less effective and merely paralyzes you most of the time.
