Discussion Do you ever wonder if you've hyped sex/marriage/ascension up to the point that, even if you did ascend, it wouldn't be anything like you hoped?

It's the U.S. Semiquincentennial. I love the holidays (or at least I think I do), so for years I was looking forward to this. It's not just any 4th of July, it's one of the milestones. And now that it's here... I kinda don't care? Why don't I care? Is it less than I hoped? It's technically bigger than I could've ever imagined. But I don't care.

And I wonder if that's what sex would be like if I ever end up having it. Because I made plans for the 250th. I really REALLY wanted to be part of it. If the 250th can disappoint me, what's so great about sex?

That's no way to live, though. You should be excited about something.

I feel like if I ever had sex, I'd probably think it's overrated. Like after it's over I'd be like "it wasn't THAT great." Like anticipating a roller coaster that ends up being kind of disappointing. I know that's an unpopular opinion here.
