Theory I wish there was a scientific study investigating the correlation between eye color and IQ

Contemporary academicians that I obsess and fanboy over all possess light blue eyes (with the sole exception of Peter Liberman)

Could it be that eye color has a moderate correlation with intelligence, or is it merely a coincidence?

Some genes can have multiple effects (pleiotropy). As far as I know, the HERC gene is not related to intelligence, although it is theoretically possible for linked genetic regions to influence traits beyond eye pigmentation.

Also, certain eye colors might be more common in certain populations, and differences in education, culture, or just overall environment could indirectly correlate to differences in intelligence metrics
