I don't know what the doctor's ethnicity was, or anything else about them for that matter. It was done at a hospital after I was born, that's all I know. It wasn't a rabbi or something if that's what you're asking.
I don't even know what even went wrong during the procedure. I asked my parents and they either couldn't remember, never knew to begin with, or they just didn't care to tell me. From the research I've done, the most common method was something called the "mogen clamp" and most botches where the glans was amputated involved a mogen clamp, so that's the most likely I guess.
The crazy thing is despite what happened to me, my mother still had my two younger brothers circumcised. She's very pro-circumcision, my father on the other hand doesn't seem to care about it, but also doesn't think it's a big deal to even be botched.
