I've heard this from foids a lot in reference to rejecting guys advances, the claim being they are afraid of men approaching them because if they say no the guy will flip out and hurt them. Is this a thing that has ever happened in significant numbers. We already know virtually all rape is someone the girl already knows such as a date (i.e. chad) so I have a very hard time believing that women are one rejection away from getting killed by the guy that just cold approached them.
