Imagine if a woman's child was taken from her, and given to a bunch of women who want to have a baby for a while, and only the kid was 10+ was it returned to the mother. The kid wouldn't have too much genuine love for his mother, or any of the women who took care of him. And the mother would be bitter that her baby's best years were taken away from her.
