When Queen Elizabeth II died in September 2022, the media treated it like an extremely tragic event. While I have no strong opinion on her (because I don't even know her well, nor do I care), I feel no sympathy for her demise given that she lived a lavish lifestyle of unlimited wealth and power for no other reason than being born into the right family.
She did not have to work hard to get into to her position of wealth and power. It was a right granted to her at birth.
Besides, in her young years, she obviously didn't have to put any effort into getting a romantic partner. She didn't have to work for a minute while us non-elite men have to work for years, sometimes over a decade, without even a guarantee for getting a romantic partner. She had a lavish life most people can only dream of. So why would I (or anyone for that matter) feel sorry for her?
