I view modern games the same way I view movies

Modern games are for normies. They're not for us. They're shallow, incredibly streamlined and repetitive.
Yet, normies don't care because they don't value games as something to enjoy long term. They'll mindlessly gobble up whatever slop releases and then move on to the next slop. They don't enjoy legitimate challenge. Nor do they enjoy depth.


I feel nothing whenever I see footage of these games normies are hyping up. Look at the switch 2. Almost every game Nintendo has announced looks like dog shit.
OOOH! I can mindlessly break stuff as Donkey Kong and grab the collectibles! I can drive though an empty open world in Mario Kart! They don't think critically about the games they play. They will play repetitive brainless copy pasted slop without question. Reminder that these are the normies who watched nothing but marvel slop for a decade. Gaming is dead. The lowest common denominator won. It's over. Go play old games

PS2/GameCube/Xbox was the last great generation when it comes to the sheer level of creativity on display. Never again will we see anything like it.
