I think when i was a kid the reason why adults acted overly friendly is cause they thought i was sped

So i when ralking to people usually stutter alot and stand very far away for some reason and due to my lack of communication skills my peers thought i was stupid and now that i think of it im pretty sure adults did to and now im starting to remember every smile an adult has ever looked at me with and im starting to think they were pitying me for thr most part although i do remember i had one decent relationship with a teacher back in middle school and she was really nice but besides her i think most adults friendly gestures were very pretentious almost kinda like when they see a kid fall and pretend they feel bad or something along the lines of that

Same I also felt like a special ed kid whenever I try to talk with normies as a kid because of my stutter but adults were not overly friendly towards me and probably
thought I was retarded
