Basically a thread for guys who watch The Boys, for which season four is probably gonna come out later this year.

I can't help but think that the showrunners are gonna bring back Soldier Boy in season four, but give him a story line which results in him accepting the cucked modern world which he now lives in

The character was basically a walking archetype of the man who feels out of place in the culture which he lives in, which of course, many men nowadays in this era of depravity and gynocentrism can certainly relate to, and which I suspect the showrunners may try to remedy next season by having the character begrudgingly accept these conditions as a message to the men watching that they too should accept the cultural zeitgeist of today

Just a suspicion I have, I could (hopefully) be wrong

Sadly you're probably right. What I thought at the end of S3 when he was in that freezing chamber was that the government would create some sort of device to limit his powers and make him unable to explode so they could use him to tackle other Supes in case they went rogue or just do secret missions, like a weapon. Think Winter Soldier/The Suicide Squad but with better execution.

And I'm hoping for that storyline, but I don't think that's the route they're gonna take. The director of the series said that it's important for him to be impartial and joke about both the right and left wing within the series, but a little bit more so the right. Soldier Boy wouldn't fit in as part of the seven as direct competition for Homelander, so he could only hope to become a part of The Boys, and if he does he will either adapt and become a cuck (they already hinted that happening last season given his emotional chats with Butcher) or he won't and they'll have to kill him off seeing as he doesn't fit in anywhere. Either way it's pretty sad, but I'm hoping the creators will find a workaround as he quickly became one of the favorites.

I stopped watching the show in S2 and mostly only skimmed the comics, but they're very different, the comic is actually much worse.
