I don't identify with ER at all. I read his diary, felt his pain, but his blame game where he felt wronged and angered by the way he was supposedly "treated" by women, I just can't relate.
Wilkes McDermid's thesis makes more sense to me. Women are just doing what they are genetically programmed to do: seek tall, wealthy, powerful men, and ignore me. That has made me sad from time to time, but it has never made me angry, that just doesn't make sense to me. Do you get angry at gravity for making the rain fall on your head? What good does that do?
