All my "friends" abandoned me after I quit the sports team I was on last year for academic reasons. I wasn't getting with girls (nothing new there), but at least I had "friends." My profile pic is pretty much how I feel. Always forcing a fake smile whenever I go to class and interact with others. Have any advice? I am new here and just want to talk to people that are in a similar situation.

I have been trying to deal with isolation all year. It just keeps getting harder and I get more upset as the days go on.

They were never your friends, since friends don't disappear because you stop going to an activity.
