I lost the family race at birth

I was born in the worst family possible, everyone and I mean everyone in my family is mentally ill. My father is crazy, a genuine psychopath, once he decides that he'll torment you, he won't stop until you kill yourself. We are polar opposites.

My mom and siblings are all the same, the most emotionally unstable people you can be around. If you say anything that could potentially upset them, just know that they will either start crying, will scream at you or give you the silent treatment for the rest of the year. I deadass didn't speak to my sister for a whole year cause she was mad that I ate some shit she left in the fridge.

Meanwhile I am the one taking the abuse from everyone, the only one with a shred of empathy who doesn't go full homelander cause of petty shit. I was born an abused dog in a household that couldn't care less about me.

The most brutal part of being a familycel is that there's absolutely no way to change it, or for the situation to get better. The permanency of family is a very simple, yet very complex concept if you really think about it. I'm sure for chads with great families, it's a beautiful feeling, but on the other side of the spectrum? Possibly one of the most brutal realities of life.

I don't even hate them, it has made me realize that some people are just flawed and there is nothing you can do to change that. If I move away I am barely contacting them, speaking to my family feels like speaking to a stranger. We live in the same house but are so distanced
