But the ultimate problem is that they'll never know our experience, and there's no telling them. There's no point. But we know, brocels. It means dick all to them. BUT WE KNOW BROCELS, at least...

They'll never know our experiecne because they dont want to know. Learning is understading, but they'd rather tell us we're wrong about how we feel instead of trying to understandwhat led us to this.

Even if they knew, they'd never understand it because they've never experienced anything close to what we went/go through.

Ah a man who actually gets gaslighting. And I say this to so many: one of my favourite writers was Patrick Hamilton, who actually coined the term in his play Gaslight. His novels are better though imo: incel novels, you could argue. The Midnight Bell is about a dude having a oneitis with an escort; Hangover Square is about an alcoholic foid who uses him for his money, yet he can't help himself but simp 1930s style...

He actually legit mid-writing-career got run over or some shit and became literally deformed (and he was already one of us).

Based writer, RIP.

Thanks for the recommendations. I’ve been wanting to get into reading more, but been having trouble find stuff that interested me.

Yeah it's tricky till you get to know all the based authors. You read The Catcher in the Rye yet? JD Salinger was dope af.

Not yet. I didn't even read it in school suprisingly, I guess my school was really for dumbasses. I'll definitely get to it soon though.

Nah they wouldn't put it in UK schools either. I mean there was a lot of Steinbeck and I love Steinbeck but he's never particularly controversial (other than perhaps revising the whole Cain and Abel bible story in East of Eden lol).

But anyway here's the first quote to get you on your way from Catcher. And PLEASE read it while you're still young. I think I was 17. Well, whatever, here's self-deprecating #1 quote of a treasure trove of apparently 50:

'And I have one of those very loud, stupid laughs. I mean if I ever sat behind myself in a movie or something, I'd probably lean over and tell myself to please shut up.'
