Wanted to transfer to a university after taking two years at comunity college to embark on my engineering major, talked to a transfer advisor and he basically said, "Your other grades are good, but because of your Calculus grades they probably won't let you in, as you need a specific GPA.. I will help guide you along the process", so now I have to take six more classes and hopefully get A's on all of them, I don't remember at the top of my head but it's discrete math, intro to engineering, physics, during summer and fall semester. I was (and still am), in a depressive state while taking Calculus one to three, I only studied enough to pass, I don't know where I will get the motivation to somehow do perfect. I do want to be an engineer, it is something I am passsionate about, so I guess I'll just gotta study my life off during fall and summer

Community college is based.

listen to your gut

you're better than me

I dropped out of college twice lol

That's terrible I'm so sorry I guess my only advice would be to seek out a study group or tutor if your school provides those for free and make sure you put aside time to study maybe with a timer and set breaks so you make sure you study enough every day also make sure to contact your teacher if you're struggling with a concept and I hope it's a good enough college to where the teachers care to help you

As for depression I am not sure how to cure this as I am not in your shoes but make sure you never ldar or skip classes and if you don't feel mentally well please feel free to pm me and I am always here to talk otherwise good luck and have a wonderful day

My calculus professor was a geriatric asshole so I changed majors entirely. I would have killed myself by now if I didn't.

Keeping up with academic integrity is tough now that everyone is using chatbots for their homework. If you are looking for a specific Canvas LMS detector tool, this one is pretty straightforward. It helps verify if a paper was written by a student or a bot before the official submission happens. It is a great way to ensure that all the work being turned in is actually original and human-made.
brutal situation. transferring is already a pain, but having an advisor basically tell you "you're one grade away from being filtered" is pure suifuel when you're already struggling with your mental health.

The reality is that for engineering, Calculus is the ultimate weed-out. If you were just "studying to pass" while in a depressive slump, it’s a miracle you even got through Calc 3. Most normies would have dropped out at Calc 2.

But look at the blackpill of the situation: if you don't get those A's, the system is just going to discard you and you'll end up wage-caging somewhere for the rest of your life. Engineering is one of the few ways to actually get some status and money in this world, especially for us.

If you’re passionate about it, use that resentment for your current state as fuel. You don't need "motivation"—that's a normie myth. You just need to be a machine for two semesters. Grind the physics and discrete math like your life depends on it, because it honestly does. If you stay in your room and rot, you're just proving the advisor right. Get the grades, get the degree, and at least you'll have the money to LDAR in comfort later.

Godspeed, hope you don't get filtered.
