I have a theory about why SOME incels are attracted to the alt-right

If you think about it misfits follow what hipsters do when something becomes popular or gentrified - we get the fuck out. The standard safe zones for us 15 odd years ago were video games coupled with nebulously anti-establishment ideas. There was no nerd shaming and no social crusade against us and as such, we were relatively moderate and off the radar.

Fast forward to today and both of those things have been corrupted by people with a social engineering agenda who have either diluted the medium for the mainstream (video games / comics / etc) or have painted anyone not on board with a hard-left view as some kind of inhuman oppressor.

Needless to say, people don’t stick around things that they do not relate to or that have similar people who they can form a community and as such, some have latched to the extremes were regular society will not pollute and gentrified, such as the alt-right. I’m willing to bet a lot of people who jumped aboard only wanted a safe haven from regular society who views them as the scum of the Earth and as such, they’ve been literally forced unto extremes.

Now I’m not alt-right myself but I find myself having to side with these people on the internet because normals have such seething distaste for outcasts that they’ve become almost completely unrelatable to me.

I was racist way before I identified as incel. The fascist thing is new, but unrelated. Eugenics are hand-in-hand with the blackpill imo, but those beliefs are old too.

I personally was attracted to these right wing groups in my early 20s. Since I first started becoming interested in politics, I was always a leftist. I guess in retrospect I also had an interest in left wing ideology out of some bizarre sense of patriotism or nostalgia, since I come from a post-soviet country. Anyway, I went through a phase where I blamed the minorities and the jews and the globalists and the liberals for all the "degeneracy". In the end, though, I am a degenerate myself. I just wish so much that I could live a normal life. I wish I could have normal experiences. I wish I could have a girlfriend. I wish I could marry. I wish I could be loved. I wish a girl would find me sexy.

The reality is that this is a utopia for normal people. This is an amazing time to be alive, but for someone like me, it is a prolonged agony.

That was the whole purpose of leftism originally, to eliminate class envy and promote equality by ensuring that everyone had the same thing as everyone else, like during the early days of the Soviet Union. The main problem with socialism is that there's not much or no incentive to do anything. In the Soviet version of socialism, basically orthodox Marxism, they wanted to create a classless society by making sure that everyone got paid the same for different kinds of work. This led to tremendous waste and large numbers of people not giving a fuck about anything. More democratic forms of socialism subsidize people at the bottom or tax higher income brackets more heavily. This also reduces incentive and makes society a worse place to live. All forms of socialism lead to societal implosion because they discourage individual initiative. Socialism is a failure wherever it's practiced because it's based on a huge misunderstanding of human nature.

People didn't get paid the same amount of money for the same work, man. A doctor absolutely made much more than a factory worker. The trouble with that system was that there was a shortage of consumer goods so no matter how much money you were making, you couldn't buy anything you want. Want to buy a car? You have to be on a wait list. Want a color TV? You have to wait. Want an apartment? You have to wait. Etc. Anyway, forget it.

Did you read my OP? Of course that being alt-right isn’t about inceldom, but the truth of the matter is that the common enemy of both groups has managed to pile them up as one and push one onto the arms of the other.

Incels and other outcasts who become alt-right by virtue of having no other community left to be a part of that isn’t threatened by progressives are reactionaries - people who are alt-right from an ideological stand point aren’t, and instead follow the party line, so to speak.

This sort of forced relationship between both groups is why I don’t condemn either, even though like I said I am not alt-right and would rather be associated with apolitical communities of like-minded misfits, like there used to be once upon a time.

I agree that the incel life expectancy must be around mid 30s and that suicide is one of the main causes, but I don’t think the spikes in the general population has anything to do with life getting easier. The opposite in fact.

For every success story you see about some dude who makes a lot of money coding or programming or trading crypto, you can find a much larger amount of people trying to do the same and failing miserably. Competition is through the roof in those work areas and the labor market has made survival on any low level income a constant challenge, hence the rise in the number of neets and such.

Very few get to become coding superstars, much less those of us with vast social issues; just surviving is an achievement in and of itself.

I do think that their ranks are often exploited by liberals (nowhere near fascists) with a populist or anti-immigrant twist. I’m sure the new governments of say Italy and Austria have used them for grassroots support but, the thing is that those governments are squarely liberal, 30 years ago the definition of the far-right were people who did flirt with open fascism, like the Greek junta.
