Serious I have a perma DM and I dont know how to fix it

The inbox notification always says 1

I dont have any unread messages, I even tried unignoring everyone to see if maybe someone Im ignoring has sent me a DM that I cant see but the notification icon is still there

I get a mini heart attack every time I log in thinking its another warning, somebody help
