I'm anxietycel. I hate the awkward conversations, ordering my food in front of waitress, the looks I get from waitress. And I'm the only person there alone, everyone else is with other people.

It's crazy to think that for Americans, around half of the money we spend on food is for eating out (I spend almost $0 eating out). ChatGPT says of American normies "Approximately 30% of U.S. adults eat at least one meal from a sit-down restaurant on any given day." That's just for restaurants where you sit down and order with a waitress, it excludes fast food.

Dining out is made for normies only. I don't think single men by themselves are really welcome in restaurants where you sit down and order from waitstaff, unless you're Chad. I think single adult men, when by themselves, are automatically viewed with suspicion anywhere in public.

But even my mom felt awkward and uncomfortable eating in a sit-down restaurant by herself, and she was a "cute old lady" everyone loved.

Same, it’s the worst

Same here. Even eating out at fast food places is weird and awkward. That's why I always get takeout or eat from the fridge

Never dine out in a normie restaurant. Never. A lone ugly male in there is sus as hell. The only place I go dine out is a local kebab place. The guy in there actually likes me since I am regular customer in there and occasionally He throws some extra meat or fries for me. And He doesn't want unreasonably large tip from me.

Yeah I feel like a lone ugly male going in a restaurant, people assume something's wrong with you. (There is, but still.) Another thing that stresses me out is deciding on what to order. There's like a million items and you barely have time to choose before the waitress is asking "are you ready to order yet??"

American privilege of having immense disposable income and strong purchasing power.

Of course. He'd be a fool to anger a loyal customer.

I used to go to a local kebap shop as well, when I was way younger.
The cook was very talkative in general and we'd chat about many things.

He always made sure to cut the best pieces for me and put in more as well.

He sold the shop one day and was never heard from again.
That's one of the few places I went to regularely.

Dining out " no

Ordering Food and carry it home " yes

normie trait
What's normie? Eating out or hating eating out? Normies definitely love eating out in restaurants (almost every day) with their friends, family and girlfriends.

I only do drive thru and takeout or if I’m feeling extra lazy I rarely do this but UBER eats

Uber eats I would do more often if I was a fucking billionaire since I don’t have to talk to anybody nor do I have to leave the crib but I am poor and uber eats is fucking stupidly expensive

In my country dining out isnt that normal, We make our shit at home, For the ones who do dine out, They cant make food :feelskek:

Yep, I feel so out of place. Even apart from restaurants just going anywhere in public alone like the grocery store to get something feels awkward like I’m doing something wrong by being alone, even though it’s normal

Restaurant food is mediocre at best

It's one of the rare things I enjoy doing outside. My love for food overcomes my cowardry.
