I'm anxietycel. I hate the awkward conversations, ordering my food in front of waitress, the looks I get from waitress. And I'm the only person there alone, everyone else is with other people.

It's crazy to think that for Americans, around half of the money we spend on food is for eating out (I spend almost $0 eating out). Dining out is made for normies only. I don't think single men by themselves are really welcome in restaurants where you sit down and order from waitstaff, unless you're Chad. I think single adult men, when by themselves, are automatically viewed with suspicion anywhere in public.

But even my mom felt awkward and uncomfortable eating in a sit-down restaurant by herself, and she was a "cute old lady" everyone loved.

I used to go to a local kebap shop as well, when I was way younger.
The cook was very talkative in general and we'd chat about many things.

He always made sure to cut the best pieces for me and put in more as well.

He sold the shop one day and was never heard from again.
