In random selfies I just take in my room I'm lucky to get a 10% attractiveness rating. They seem to rate the photo rather than the person in it.

But like I say, it's mostly bullshit. I literally jump 40% when 'photomaxing' with lighting, blur/sharp contrast (not even morphing my own face, just blurring the background of the photo) and smiling. For some reason bedroom selfies get panned hard on photofeeler even if you're actually attractive.

I'm not saying it's totally worthless - I mean, it kinda shows that you probably shouldn't have every one of your tinder pics as a bedroom selfie. But it's not your /10 rating IMO, because you can literally jump 4 points by photomaxing. I'm neither a 5/10 nor a 1/10, but I've been given as low as 2% attractiveness rating on photofeeler before with a low effort selfie.

If you take all your pictures outside, wearing nice clothes, smiling, using the blur/sharp background filter, taken at 5pm at night so you get the sunset halo, then running your pics through a couple of decent instagram filters...most people will do alright on photofeeler.

The same guy who takes a bunch of selfies in his room will get absolutely ripped to bits. Photofeeler users don't judge the person as much as they should IMO, they look at the photo quality more. How else do you explain that I can get a disparity of 50% attractiveness in my ratings? I'm neither a 5.3/10 nor a 0.2/10, but those are two ratings photofeeler gave me just based on photo quality and expression.

if you are going to take a shitty picture with poor lighting and one that doesn't accentuate your features, then you will look unattractive. Pic with Proper lighting captures your true features and would be a better indicator of attractiveness as its a closer approximation to how you might look IRL. Wearing unflattering clothes will make you look unattractive to females. Rules of attraction for women are very different than they are for men. For women, its not solely your looks which make you attractive, but a combination of looks status and confidence. Dressing nicely is a way of signaling status and even confidence. This is why you were able to barely edge out incelman in attractiveness rating.

The most accurate results is probably trying your photos on Tinder. That's probably all that matters, if girls want to fuck you or not, not that they "like your photo."
