I feel like modern society is more troubled than most realize

Simply put: human are not made, evolved for modern society.

I bet a simpler life, like the natives lived 500 yrs ago, although difficult and physically challenging at times, would have been much more enjoyable than today’s twisted convoluted world.

The lack of entertainment and healthcare would be bad however.

But there would be way less crime and hate. Society, I have to assume, functions best in a small tribe.

Socially, life would be much smoother.

I have to wonder if me, and maybe you, were born 500 years to late

I guess 500 years ago my family was in Europe though, which was very troubled at that time

It's always been this way. 90 percent of males in a given species are throw away beings. 500 years ago we would have the same chance at being thrown away just like we are being now.
