Just find people who aren't normies. Not everyone exclusively wants to talk about sportsball and celebrities. Find people with similar interests or a similar way of thinking to you. I have a couple of friends and they are over the internet, which is preferable for me compared to in person friendships.

It's really hard to make friends nowdays. It's like everyone have established groups and generally not open to accepting anyone new. I don't have any friends like close by. I cut all contact with anyone from school. The only friends I have are the very few ones that I made online. The only ones that accepted me for me. That I am really grateful for. They're in different countries though. Majority of the time I am shunned, even in spaces where I should belong, I still get treated like an outcast.
