I still respect them as the best and ultimate cope.

What else do you do?

Can't blame you. I'd stop too if i could.

same I can get in a couple hearthstone marathons in a week still I guess but my old console coping days need some reconnecitng, my soul needs healing

I don’t actually play videogames.I actually post here, study and sometimes I go out with my friends (don’t call me a fakecel. My friends are quasi incels anyway)

I’ll play like for two hiurs then i’ll stop

Been grinding Warframe for over 8h today :hax:

Every new release is a copy of the old and every game is an inferior version of some other game.

In my opinion games are long and take up a huge amount of time.

Beyond a certain point it may not be worth it, despite what the huge amount of gamercels who complete every game and buy all the dlc and then put hundreds, thousands of hours online would have you believe.

I still believe they are better than mindlessly surfing the internet.

It depends on game genre. Some of them require lots of brain power and I believe they can make you smarter

correct and games that aren't complex require many hours of grinding, the middle ground are story driven games like Pathologic 2 and Spec Ops but these come once in a blue moon

no doubt, but dont stop gaming, you can take a break if you are bored.

I played a lot in the 2000s.
Then I took a hiatus in the first half of the 2010s, I basically didn't play at all. I had a shitty laptop that wasn't able to run basically anything, plus I had to focus on my studies at uni.
Since the late 2010s I'm playing a lot again. I have a good gaming laptop, plus I'm a wageslave now, and have basically nothing better to do with my free time.
What else am I supposed to do?

I don't really "play" games anymore as much as I just log into them to torment and do the opposite of what everyone else is doing.

For example, do a ranked queue on Counter-Strike with zero intention of getting kills or doing the objective. Just getting into voice chat arguments and purposefully fucking up shit like disarming the bomb or killing the enemy just so I can feel a crumb of pleasure.
