Companies have little reason to invest high effort into switch or switch 2 ports. (Outside of companies that make games that are popular among Japanese audiences. Seeing as how the switch is the go to platform in Japan.)
I don't know why people are surprised that let's say, Elden Ring runs like shit on the switch 2. It's not just that the switch 2 is weak. It's that from soft is not going to invest considerable effort aka money into a port of a game that will probably sell worse than it did on other platforms. Nintendo fans are not known to buy third party games as much as other platforms costumer bases do.
Do you really think that these companies couldn't get PS3 games to run on switch 1? Ofc they could. Switch 1 is more powerful than the PS3. The reason why they released half baked ports is because these ports were rushed and off sourced to smaller companies.
The switch 2 will likely follow the same path as the switch 1 when it comes to third party support. At first you'll get some big third party current gen games, then as companies see that it's not as profitable to put in any such effort, you'll see ports of PS4 generation games that take considerably less effort to port, but still somehow run worse.
