I didn't feel anything - first joint

I smoked a joint for the first time today. Took 3 puffs. But I didn't feel anything. Just something in my eye, but nothing else. Have I perhaps smoked the wrong way? I took a puff and then inhaled immediately. But maybe I didn't smoke properly on my lungs?

You gotta hold it for a while so the smoke mixes with the lung ooze
