I can never understand the appeal of a Nintendo switch.

The millions of sales are probably coming from parents who want to get their toddlers to stfu. Because for the life of me I cannot honestly look at the Nintendo catalogue and think, "hmm I should spend hundreds of dollars on this console and 70+ on each title."

They must have a prety solid marketing team because this shit makes no sense.

The original switch wouldn't be a bad console to play games on the go if it weren't for the terrible controller quality. The battery life isn't terrible nowadays.

I tbink the switch blew up because it was the perfect storm. A handheld that could play console quality games on the go + Nintendo exclusives. At the time, being able to play high quality games on the go was novel.

If you combine the sales of the Wii and DS they come to way more than the Switch.
