Based I bought a pair of boat shoes today

Are your main shoes more grippy or slippy?

Based and boatpilled? XD

They were pretty cheap. And not the traditional boat shoe design.

Apparently they grip well on wet surfaces and even frost! My previous pair were imitation converse and could be very slippery!

They're still in the mail so I'll update the thread with whether they're good or not after I get them. ^_^

That's about it lol

They're designed for withstanding the wet decks of boats!

But I thought they might be good as urban shoes in rain and frost and stuff.

That's nice.

Are they affordable?

Yeah much cheaper than real Converse and probably grippier too!

That being said I might buy real Converse soon too as I like the way they look.

I actually learned that my old imitation converse had soles that were super similar to boat shoes! Little channels in the rubber to guide away water!

But they changed it to diamonds and now they're slippy '-'

Even real Converse seem to have worse soles than my old ones :o

OK sorry I'll stop talking about shoe soles now. lol

I am wearing them atm, lol

Apparently shoes like this aren't great for mud and stuff as the treads are shallow, but good for flat and potentially wet surfaces!
