I beat red faction for the first time again since childhood, felt empty asf

Damn, I won I guess. I won’t get to experience a quarter of the happiness the main characters get to feel. But I won .

Alec definitely got to bang Samanya after the war . I’ll never free a planet from a tyrannical military organization and then bang a hot British rebel afterwards.

I’ll probably go back to stardew valley soon, that game makes me feel like I’ve isekaied into another world as a better looking person with a better life.

Completing games from your childhood as an adult is suifuel at times.

It usually is a lot easier and the "magic" is just not there anymore. You see it with the eyes of an adult, a grown man. Your new experiences and higher knowledge may or may not make you think differently about a game that you once loved.

For example, I loved G-Police as a kid. Nowadays I wouldn't touch that shit with a ten foot pole because that is how much I hate cops. If you don't hate cops, don't call yourself black pilled.
The black pill is all encompasing.

Or for example "Tomorrow never dies" on the PS1 or Goldeneye 64 . No way in hell I'd touch that shit.
I have even stopped enjoying the og Resident Evil games because of the black pill.

Very few games are left that I can still enjoy today.

Oftentimes I catch myself worrying about some daily life shit while trying to immerse myself in the story.

This is why I love light hearted games like the Spyro trilogy. Even today I can fully enjoy that game.
