I am an entry level programmer(know sql ,Java and basic big data like hadoop, spark) living in a third world country, can I get a remote job from American companies, how is the pay

You want to ask us? Many of us are youngcels.

I wouldn't be surprised if you could American companies love to outsource work
how is the pay
no doubt jack shit because they know ethnics work for damn near free.:feelskek:

damn son i think you got the wrong place but you smart tho

Yes. Just pick a company and see if they're hiring.

As much as I'd hate to admit it, LinkedIn is probably your friend here. Search for run-of-the-mill STEM job titles on the site, but be sure to filter to only jobs where REMOTE is overtly specified. Connect w/ technical recruiters and keep an eye out for jobs that pique your interest on your feed -- most recruiters will post about job opportunities often.

The biggest downside is that you'll have to put some effort into it -- prepare to get rejected a ton. It is an absolute pain in the ass to get a job in a country where you don't even have a visa (even if it is remote), much less the U.S. (or Canada, which I'd argue is even more stingy than the U.S. when it comes to hiring aliens). If you're financially able, I'd try to scout around for an immigration lawyer first before trying to settle for what could be just a pipe dream.

Do you work on a 996 schedule?

I think China counts as second world

some may know

fuck the capitalists,I expect they pay me at least 3000$ per month
Once you start getting that programmer money, you will ascend

Saw that outsourced contract workers are basically 30% more than unskilled usa minimum wage in the sf bay.

min wage for burger flipper is $15 now, $10 for majority of cities.

On site from contracting company we use is $71

Full employee $115

you off-shore guys are getting paid shit at $17... contract company takes a cut of that

you should instead try to find cheap talent and then take bids on work. You can then double check the work and pocket the difference. Once you get good at doing that get yourself a full time remote job and keep sending the work to your talent pool.

Do you work on a 996 schedule?
no,last year I worked for a bastard as a newbee in Beijing, only got about 1500$ per month with no other perks ,I had to stay overhours even there were no work to do,eventually I and my coworker decided to sit and do nothing:feelskek:,If there was a task needed to be done,I would stretch it to several days,I only worked about 3-6 hours per week, other time I just sit doing my own thing
I think China counts as second world
no,China will belong to the third world forever:feelscomfy:
Idk :waitwhat:

but hopefully things work out:feelsokman:
thanks,kid

thanks for good prediction
Why not work for china
I wonder if working for American companies will get me better paid

If your parents are nice enough to offer you a place to live, 1500$ is more than enough for you to ldar and neetmaxxing (with the bonus that you don't have to do much during work).

It’s called outsourcing and America loves doing it so yes

I'm Chinese. I don't want to provide too many details in case I get my door knocked on by someone
I can't get that money in my hometown
So you are not from Beijing. I hope you don't speak with a strong accent or else you might get treated like a subhuman.

I also live in a third world country, but aspire to get a job in firs world country. It can depend a lot on whether that company has affiliates in your country already. It can be a lot of legal problems to get you in the payroll if you are not allowed to legally receive a salary in/from a different country.

I'm a developer from a shit hole country I'll be real with you.

First my stemcel, you need to put shit in your GitHub (a lot) . Having a Shiny GitHub is the best CV you can have, I can't overstate how important this is. Recruiters will ask you constantly about it. So start building shit.

Second, check the market, Hadoop, spark ? I suppose Java is fine (but you have to learn Spring), But there is A LOT more of demand for Python, PHP, Node those tech are waaaaaaay more popular. Kotlin, Swift. Also WordPress, Shopify. Knowing those tech will help you a lot.

Second, the page is not that good, you can expect 15 usd per hour , perhaps a little more when you. 20 if you have a lot of experience.

Third, you English , I hope you can speak English.

Now , were you get job. Look for freelance job in Google, you can also check in stack overflow and Quora. But let me tell you in the beginning you need to gather reviews and experience, expect 10 usd per hour jobs

then there is no point to get that job if it only pays 10-20$ per hour, not better paid than my shithole

No better indeed, also me personally wouldn't mind to work for Chinnise companies. You can work gather some experience , build good shit in GitHub and eventually you can work for some USA good pay company. It is very hard you get a job directly for any company is you are working remotely from China. Most likely you will work for some agency and they will take a cut (a lot) that is another reason why the payment is not that good. Google B2B strategies in Google if you want to know how to work directly for some company
