As for "guaranteed employment", yes the state assigns jobs and requires labor from most citizens but this isn't "full employment", rather more like enforced work, including uncompensated or coerced labor to sustain the economy. Refusal brings punishment. And their punishments are generational, your family is punished for your wrongs.

You're right, North Korea is not so bad of a country as it is portrayed to be. The people are fed, educated, healthy, and North Korean people have great loyalty and respect to their country, unlike many. However, for me if I were actually asked to live in North Korea it would be a big no. It's very apparent with their infamous dictator and strict borders that North Korean people have a lack of freedom, and my freedom is something I would most definitely never ever relinquish optionally.. But to say I would never support a North Korean regime isn't true!

I agree I would rather live in a poor country that is at least socially clean and I have purpose in than a rich country like the JewSA where we have a lot of material goods but are spiritually empty, however North Korea is objectivly very poor and most people do live in extreme poverty that we couldn't even comprehend.
I would be interested in a country that is similar to North Korea but actually has some level of prosperity, I wonder if such a place is even possible.
I must admit there is some comfort in the idea of living in a place where your entire life is already decided for you and you just have to live it out day to day, there is a reason many detectors choose to go back, they cant handle all of the new choices and freedoms, sometimes ignorance is bliss.

Hmm. They're a very interesting nation that's for sure. Something I haven't seen people speak up about is if there are incels in North Korea or what the dynamics between the sexes are.
