I voted for the third option but from my experience not even fat clouds could trigger the alarm. And if you are worried about the vapor setting off the alar you can just blow it as far as possible from the alarm or into a plastic bottle.

Yeah apparently even cigarettes struggle to set off optical alarms but I dare not smoke in here because the smell is more distinctive and also it's against the tenancy agreement terms.
... I think vaping is OK. lol
