Most revolutions are actually just elites vs elites, The French, American and the Russian revolution are all examples fo this
Im talking about shit like the Taiping Rebellion or Haitian revolution, a bunch of bums coming together and fighting the government, even if it isnt successful its still fun to read about pissed off guys uprising against their overlords
