I'm not socially retarded, if anything I can read between the lines and read microexpressions and body language quite well. I can tell that people don't want to talk to me and by default they don't like me because of my appearance (bald, acne scars) so I don't bother people. Of course people think that if you don't talk to people you have poor social skills when that is bull, its just that I can read the room and tell that people don't like interacting with me and that's why I don't bother them.

People seem to think that being popular = good social skills. I guess that's true in a way but I will never be popular and liked by people, and that has nothing to do with my "social skills."
