The online/social media boom is relatively recent and I concluded it was over for me by that time. When I was still in high school/college myspace was a thing. So I never tried online dating.

I feel old now.

In anycase, I can't recall exact numbers but it had to exceed 20 at least. I cold approached only a couple of times when I was particularly young and somehow had the notion corny pickup lines would actually be effective. Never tried asking any foids outside my ethnic group as I knew by then it would be pointless.
