They need to cope with something. Nobody wants to admit that it's over for them. They want to believe in something no matter how foolish it is. This is why religion is so popular even though our modern scientific knowledge pretty much debunks it.

Simple answer: they're coping. They want to believe that they'll be able to attract women if they're alpha enough. Either that or in the case of the "leaders" (eg. richard coper, hamza, etc.), they're just grifting.

Slightly less simple answer: They don't understand that correlation does not imply causation. Pretty much all men are simps to some degree, it's male nature, but normies and sub5 men are by far more likely to be hardcore simps than chads/chadlites. They think simping will compensate for being unattractive. It's the same reason why bluepillers think it's all about "confidence". It's just good looking men are far more likely to be confident than a sub5 male. Of course we all know there's nothing women hate more than a confident, low inhib sub5 male, but bluepillers would be blinded by the failo effect in such people and label them as "creepy".
