How do normies actually make friends?

Does it have to do more with looks or being low inhib? Do they make friends more through cold or warm approach interactions?

I’ve been relatively lonely for such a long time now that I’ve actually forgotten how normal folk actually make friends. I’ve been at Uni for nearly a month now, I even joined a club, and I still don’t have anyone that I casually talk to, let alone a friend.

Everyday on campus is just brutal seeing all the happy couples and friend groups. I wish I’d taken more online courses

i remember in school people would just walk up to others and start talking to them questioning about things like what region they're from or who they know, i was never on the receiving end of that approach.
