I've been developing an interest in history, politics and warfare. Especially concerning europe. I'd like to play strategy games which would give my newfound megalomaniacal interests an outlet.

But I don't play strategy games or even rpgs. All those menus and numbers give me extreme decision paralysis. So I was looking for something easy to start with. But I have no idea how HoI, CK or EU work and which should I pick.

Suggestions outside of Paradox games are welcome too

I don't play Paradox games since they are just scams made to empty your wallet. Paradox games have one of the worst DLC practices ever. I only play Civilization V, Mount and Blade Warband and Age of Empires 2.
I am going to pirate everything anyway. Didn't know they were the kind of company to release important stuff in dlcs.

Alright cutie pie indian Jordan barett

what time period do u like the most. I hear (haven’t played) ck2 is the easiest of the paradox games, with eu4 and Victoria 2 being the hardest. Although they’re overwhelming at first it’s pretty simple I’m srs

pirate theory and/or just get Victoria 2 (or older paradox games).

In my opinion HOI4 is easier and has great mods for modern day or WW1

What scope are you interested in?
Tactics? What size?
Strategy?

Isn't PuBG basically an Arma 3 mod

Why is eu4 considered harder than hoi4? eu4 has bare-bones military combat. Diplomacy is fairly simple too.

pretty ez to just put 7/2’s and win and then switch them to 14/4’s. The division designer is simply not good enough to mog eu4’s colonization, primitive/un primitive systems, institutions, religions, and ideas UI’s

Have autism and be willing to suck ass at the game for hundreds of hours until you realize the overpowered way you are supposed to play it.

The guy who made it based it on a old mod he made for arma 2 and 3.
