How do I destroy my survival instinct in order to off myself?

Every time I tried to commit suicide, either by putting my shotgun in my mouth or jumping infront of a train, I always back out last second due to my survival instinct. How do I over come the fear of the unknown?

It's instinct, you can't destroy it (maybe drugs or something I dunno). You clearly aren't far gone enough to just pull the trigger and end it like that gif I have seen on this forum of the guy at his computer desk blowing his brains with a shotgun. Just live. if you truly wanted to die you'd be dead already.
