How do I deal with the constant social embarrassment from not having a girlfriend?

Whenever my parents friends invite my family over for dinner, they ALWAYS FUCKING ASK ME HOW'S MY DATING LIFE, JUST STFU OLD CUNTS. For real every time I tell them I'm single they all giggle, I know that they aren't serious but I'm iunsecure about my virginity and that just makes it so much worse. Also why in social hierarchys are you more of "a man" and respected more (by everyone) if you've got a girlfriend?

Older incels who have gone through this, how can I deal with it? It's kind of annoying and makes me suicidal again, I haven't felt suicidal since high school (HS in canada is filled with justin bieber type boys and Stacies), any sort of advice is welcome.

2) bring an escort round next time and lie and say its your gf. This will keep them off your case for a while ;

Soon, they'll all just believe that you're gay, and then they'll shamefully drop this topic and feel too insecure about how to talk about this ("How do they even want to be called these days?") anyway.
